This position combines a couple of roles to focus on cleanliness and safety. Our ideal team member:

- Hard worker (climbing stairs and carrying 40-50 lbs)
- Detail oriented, looks for items that need cleaning

Our housekeepers are part of our team that provides world-class guest service. You will assist guests when necessary. Duties include:
- Waiting tables for breakfast
- Dish washing and kitchen clean up
- Housekeeping which includes rigorous movement, bending, lifting
- Laundry, washing, drying folding and pressing linens
- Setting up and taking down tables and chairs outdoors for events
Duties also will include food service, yard work and luggage handling. Pretty much anything that makes the place nicer.
Part of tip pool shared by all team members
Part time-hours vary by season: summer-fall 40+ hours, winter-spring 15-25 hours
Days will vary but include weekends.
Shift hours will vary.
Must be willing to work evenings and holidays.

- Previous experience in industry or position preferred.
- Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs (three story building-no elevator).
- Food Handlers Permit.

Hospitality Specialist and Event Coordinator
We are seeking a very special person to help us fulfill our mission of providing a unique, boutique hospitality experience that joins the stunning natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge with local, sustainable, community-centered resources in an elegant, historic, retreat-like setting.
This position primarily ensures efficient and smooth operations for producing world-class guest service and satisfaction. Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's experience from initial contact to check-out and beyond.
Ensure outstanding guest service and maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. Resolve customer issues or problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
Assists with hotel reservations, guest inquiries, guest arrival and check-in, light meal preparation, waiting of tables and serving food, beer and wine as well as end-of-day reports;
Assists with breakfast service, guest checkout, cleaning which includes but is not limited to cleaning rooms, sweeping, dishwashing, dusting, laundry, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Responsible to ensure that all arrangements for events are accomplished in a smooth and professional manner. Respond to any group inquiry, checking space/rates in system and communicating to management for further follow up. Prepare, present and analyze event contracts by gathering guest information, determine & execute proper set up, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc.
Working closely with the team, responsible for the execution and delivery of all events, maximizing revenue, utilization of meeting space and working to achieve or exceed the defined budgeted revenues for hotel.

- OLCC Service Permit
- Computer literacy – using Hotel guest management computer program; MS Word, Excel, researching on the web, posting to social media etc.
Follows and readily accepts written and oral instructions, communicates with management for necessary adjustment in work schedules for the breakfast crew.
Hours vary with business levels; this job is seasonal with potential for year-round. We are open 7 days a week, all year. Weekends are required.
You must be able to work in a busy environment and be able to “think on your feet”.
Prior kitchen experience is not necessary but preferred.
