Tips & Tricks to Beat the Winter Blahs - Part 1

After the flurry of holiday cheer and New Year’s reveling, the deep dark of winter can often feel like a long travail. It’s a time to go deep, self-nurture, and receive the year ahead.

Getting outside into fresh air—hiking, skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing—are great antidotes to an otherwise sluggish mood.

(Tip: Rent snowshoes from us and get up to the snow-park that’s just 20 minutes away! And Mount Hood is under an hour.)

Traveling to sunny places is a great antidote for cabin fever or seasonal blues that sometimes creeps in. We’re just back from a well-needed respite and it was glorious.

And while we can’t currently boast 80-degree temps, it’s sunny here more days than not. So it’s a double-bonus here!

Yes, we’ve had snow, but the roads are fine. And the light is clear and bright. It’s cozy in the parlor with books, puzzles and mugs of tea.  Or glasses of wine.
