It really means a lot to have people take time to send a hand written thank you note expressing their gratitude! I’ve kept a file of notes these past years and it warms my heart to re-read them. I figured I should share a few of the warm fuzziness to let you know we appreciate it!

The Pines
2009 Viognier 26- A classic viognier with its floral bouquet and smooth, silky finish. Hints of apricot and caramel.

2009 Satin 24- This white blend of 50% Pinot Gris and 50% Gewurztraminer combines the best of both worlds: a beautiful floral bouquet from the Gewurz paired with the fruity, crisp Pinot Gris.

Maryhill Winery
White Reisling 22- Aromas of pear, tropical fruit and Mock Orange blossoms mix with a drop of honey. Medium bodied and reminiscent of Anjou Pear on the palate, this low acid wine.

Winemakers Red 24- The aromas hearken to its predecessor with Caramel, a bit of dark berry and cherry and a hint of smoke and lilac. On the palate a medium to light acidity comes through as cranberry to compliment the caramel, coffee and bits of chocolate.

Sangiovese – 28- The appealing plum color echoes the aromas of warm cherry, lavender and dried rose petals that lead to a wonderful spiced palate filled with pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, and dark cherry preserves.

Uvaggio Bianco 26- Uvaggio is Italian for Blend of Grapes. This is a blend of Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay.

Dolcetto Natal 28- Cheerful, fresh, and fruity red wine with a clean floral and grape character.

Barbera 28- Fruit forward wine with an abundance of tart dry cherries and ripe dark fruit

What is a Reflection Retreat and why might I need one?

I heard Melanie McCloskey, owner of Melanie McCloskey Life Coaching, and Stephanie Hartman, owner of Catalyst Performance Consulting talk at a CRAVE chat. I was sincerely interested in what they both did. However, I’m a small business owner, I read a lot, I set goals, am task oriented, and super busy. No, I’ve not met all my goals but am so busy just doing and keeping up with work that’s growing, how can I afford to take time off to take a class? Honestly it seemed nuts to pay someone a fair amount of money to do . . . . what I’m not entirely sure.

Well, I decided to pull the trigger and go for it when two things happened:
1) A woman I respect a lot posted on FB that she was excited for an upcoming retreat
2) I read the following testimony:

“I thought I was helping Melanie out by taking one of the last slots in her visioning retreat last year -you know, supporting a friend even though I didn’t really need any coaching. After all, I feel like I’m pretty organized, productive and generally clear about what I want to get done. OMG, it was amazing. . . Now, twelve months later I need to take her retreat again because I’ve completed it all. I accomplished more with 4 hours with Melanie than I have in 14 years on my own. I tease her that it’s the Melanie magic. And I happily budget for it now.”
